MAPACS
MAPACS, the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, founded in 1984, has been the leading official society for plastic surgery in Malaysia listed in the Registry of Societies of Malaysia for the past 30 years. Formerly known as the “Malaysian Association of Plastic Surgeons”, the Association is a not-for-profit professional organization established with the aim of promoting education, training and professional interaction in the field of plastic surgery, not only amongst its members but also colleagues from other specialties, both locally and internationally, hence its robust affiliation with the College of Surgeons and Academy of Medicine of Malaysia. It has the proud history of having successfully hosted a number of international conferences and this time, MAPACS is honoured to be the host of the 8th Asian Pacific Cleft Lip and Palate / Craniofacial Congress, a unique regional multi-specialty congress established in 1988. MAPACS is also uniquely privileged this time, to have co-opted into the Congress Organising Committee, an esteemed orthodontic colleague as Co-Convenor.
